Being a teenage Christian is hard, but being a teenage Christian with a headscarf is even harder.

Hi! I'm Gertie, a revert Shi'ite Muslimah living on the east coast. I reverted to Islam this year, Alhamdulillah, and I'm still trying to learn about my religion and be a better Muslim.

Adele's Dress

Yeah, I know it's a bit late for talking about the Grammy fashions, but I couldn't resist.

Little known fact, my hair used to look like that. It was golden blond and very fluffy with that exact cut and style xD The resemblance is remarkable. (Just so nobody goes "WHY IS A HIJABI TALKING ABOUT HER HAIR?!", my hair was the victim of a dye job and haircut. It really doesn't look like this now, REALLY doesn't.)
And this dress! It's actually modest, and I (as a plus-size lady) could wear it without looking ridiculous. Ah!
Now, someone needs to make a dress based off of this, so I can buy 5.

Weird Trend I've Been Seeing...

WHAT THE FUZZ IS THIS ABOUT?!
This style really annoys me. Not sure why, but it does.

But please, don't go hatin' on the website this came from. Their stuff is really cute (except for this!!)

Hijab House: Ecuador Rose Collection

Hijab House came out with a new line: Ecuador Rose, and I am lovin' it!

Ecuador Rose Collection

 Pin Stripe Hijab Olive

Gather Stitch Hijab Teal

Blue Lace Hijab

(^this would look good on my sister, if only she wore headscarves...)

Houndstooth Hijab Black

Though sadly, in the hijab section of things, there weren't many that would look good on me. They had some really pretty patterned ones.  My skin tone betrays me (sigh!)
But still, I really liked most of the dresses and skirts.

Purple Florence Dress

Stripe Sail Dress

 Knot Dress Black

Maverick Skirt Black

I wish I could afford the shipping on these! Sometimes it really stinks that all the companies I really like are in Malaysia, Australia, or the UK. Oh well, it's fun to look!

I was reading one of my hijab blogs today and saw a link to Barjis' website, and fell in love with this. I can't wait to see what else they'll come out with!
